About Our Bronze Figures and Statues
The human figure has been the central subject of sculpture for 5,000 years, and bronze has been its preferred material for most of that history. Our bronze figure and statue collection brings this tradition forward with classical nudes and draped figures, contemporary portrait studies, mythological and religious subjects, dancers and athletes in motion, and warriors and historical personages. Every piece is handcrafted, made to order, custom sizes available, and produced in our worldwide studios.
Closely related collections include intimate bronze busts and portrait heads for libraries and studies, the full bronze mythology and goddess collection with Perseus, Athena and Themis, life size bronze samurai statues drawing on Japan's warrior tradition, and bronze angel and cherub statues for memorial and decorative contexts.
Every figurative piece is sculpted by trained figure artists working from anatomical reference, then cast in solid bronze for maximum fidelity to the original model. Designed in Birmingham, England and made in our worldwide studios, shipped worldwide free of charge, lifetime guaranteed. Full bespoke commission available for portrait sculpture, memorial figures, and custom historical or contemporary subjects from photographs or detailed brief.
FAQs
Are these classical reproductions or original sculptures?
Our collection includes both. Many classical figures (Venus de Milo studies, classical busts, mythological subjects) are produced from established sculptural traditions. Our contemporary figures, abstract studies, and commissioned portrait work are original designs by our studio artists.
Can I commission a bronze portrait?
Yes. Bronze portrait commissions are produced from photographs and detailed brief. Subjects can be a specific person, family member, historical figure, or commercial subject. Lead time is typically 10 to 14 weeks. The piece is sculpted, cast, patinated, and delivered as a complete bronze portrait.
What scales are available for figure sculpture?
From desk-scale studies (40 to 60cm) through table-scale (80 to 120cm), standing portrait scale (120 to 160cm), full life-size (160 to 180cm), and monumental (200cm+). Most figurative subjects work at multiple scales, with the same design specifiable at different sizes.
Are draped or nude figures available?
Both. Classical Western figurative sculpture traditionally includes both draped (clothed) and nude figures, and our collection reflects this. Contemporary commissions can be specified in either tradition based on intended display context and personal preference.
How long does a figure sculpture take to produce?
Standard catalogue pieces are made to order in approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Bespoke commissions take 8 to 12 weeks from approved design. Complex multi-figure compositions or monumental scale take 12 to 16 weeks. All timeframes include casting, patination, finishing, and shipping to your door.
