The Monumental Classical Mermaid and Dolphin Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, presenting a nude mermaid and a rearing dolphin as a single unified composition, both figures rising from a bronze sphere set upon a tiered natural stone plinth.
Each figure is produced through the traditional lost-wax casting method, ensuring that every surface detail is preserved with precision: the mermaid's finely scaled tail, the naturalistic musculature of the dolphin, and the textured curvature of the sphere beneath them. Once cast, the work is hand-finished by our sculptors, who apply a rich antique bronze patina worked through to deep green-blue verdigris across both figures and the base assembly. The result is a surface that reads as genuinely aged, with tonal variation that shifts from warm bronze at the high points to cooled aquatic greens in the recessed detail. The natural stone base grounds the entire composition, reinforcing the coastal and elemental character of the subject.
At 350cm and 3,800kg, this is a sculpture scaled for major architectural settings: formal estate entrances, waterfront terraces, civic plazas, hotel forecourts, and large landscaped gardens. The cool verdigris palette works particularly well against pale stone facades, water features, and maritime or Mediterranean planting schemes. The piece carries dual indoor and outdoor suitability; its bronze construction performs equally well under covered atria, grand entrance halls, or open-air installations.
We offer full customisation across patina finish, from warm natural bronze to dark oxidised brown or the full verdigris shown here. Scale adjustments are available, and the composition can be adapted for bespoke commissions inspired by the work of classical figurative sculptors working in the marine and mythological tradition. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
