About Our Tiger Statues
A tiger is a study in coiled weight. The shoulder carries most of the animal's mass and the body reads as ready to move even standing still, which is why pose matters more with big cats than with almost any other subject. Get the shoulder wrong and it becomes a large domestic cat.
Material changes the animal completely. Cast bronze with a hand-applied patina picks out the muscles across a shoulder and flank without needing stripes to tell you what it is. Fibreglass and resin allow the bold and geometric treatments where the tiger is a shape rather than a likeness. Marble covers the classical and Asian subjects.
The range covers prowling and stalking tigers, seated and standing figures, leaping poses and stylised contemporary work. Browse the bronze pieces in bronze tiger statues, the related big cats in lion statues and the full subject in animal sculptures and statues.
A prowling tiger wants a sight line and something to prowl towards. Sited against a wall it reads as trapped rather than as movement. Life size is around 280cm nose to tail, and the bronze and stone pieces are made for permanent outdoor display. See garden statues and wildlife sculptures.
Every tiger statue we make is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping. Get in touch to commission a particular pose or finish.
FAQs
How large is a life-size tiger?
Around 280cm nose to tail and roughly 100cm at the shoulder. Big cats depend on mass, so they lose presence when scaled down much below that.
Why do some have stripes and others not?
Material. A hand-applied bronze patina picks out the muscles across the shoulder and flank without needing stripes to identify the animal. Fibreglass and resin take painted and geometric treatments where the tiger is a shape rather than a likeness.
Where should a tiger be placed?
With a sight line and something to prowl towards. A stalking pose against a wall reads as trapped rather than as movement.
Which pieces can go outdoors?
The bronze, marble and stone pieces are made for permanent outdoor display. Fibreglass and resin tigers should be kept indoors or fully under cover.
What poses are available?
Prowling and stalking, seated and standing figures, leaping poses and stylised contemporary work. Others can be commissioned.
How are they made, and how long do they take?
Every piece is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
