Monumental Classical Military Officer Riding Horse Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, 350cm, with green verdigris patina, horse mid-trot, on plain grey background.
Monumental Classical Military Officer Riding Horse Bronze Sculpture - 350cm $152,01000
Description

The Monumental Classical Military Officer Riding Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, presenting a uniformed officer in full equestrian dress, seated upright on a powerful horse caught mid-trot with one foreleg raised. The composition commands immediate authority: bicorne hat, long medal-decorated coat, ornamental saddle cloth with fringing, and finely rendered chain reins all captured with the precision of a formal monument.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to Monument Grade

This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every surface detail from the bridle's chain links to the decorative tack and the textured weave of the saddle cloth. The result is a monumental cast bronze equestrian statue finished with a deep aged-bronze patina carrying a consistent green verdigris throughout, consistent with the weathering character seen on historic public monuments. That patina is not applied cosmetically; it develops through the chemistry of the bronze surface itself, giving the piece an authentic, time-worn gravity.

At 350cm and 1,200kg, this piece is designed for permanent installation in formal exterior settings: estate grounds, institutional forecourts, civic plazas, and heritage gardens. The classical stance and military subject read powerfully against stone paving, clipped formal hedging, or open lawn. It is equally suited to large-scale interior atria, stately entrance halls, or covered courtyards where ceiling height and structural loading can accommodate the scale.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include traditional verdigris, warm mid-brown, dark espresso, or a polished natural bronze finish. The sculpture can be produced at alternative heights to suit your specific site requirements. For large-scale commissions or installations inspired by the work of a particular equestrian sculptor within this classical tradition, our studio team will advise on feasibility, plinth specification, and installation engineering. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
