About Our Architecture Art
Architecture is the one subject where the wall and the artwork are made of the same idea. A relief of a facade, a skyline or a colonnade is a building represented on the surface of a building, and that recursion is why architectural work sits so comfortably in modern interiors: it echoes the geometry already in the room.
Everything here is built rather than drawn. Skylines are cut and layered, facades are modelled in relief, arches and columns are formed in metal, acrylic and leather, and more than eight in ten pieces stand proud of the wall. Nearly a third combines polished steel with a matt ground, which is what gives the cityscape work its light. Browse the related dimensional work in 3D wall art and metal wall art.
Subjects run from city skylines and bridges to classical colonnades, arches and abstracted structural forms. A fifth of the range overlaps with landscape work, where a built form sits within a wider view. See landscape art and the geometric end in geometric art.
This is our widest-format range after landscape: six in ten pieces pass 160cm, and skylines in particular need width to work at all. It suits offices, receptions and long living-room walls better than compact rooms. For the material variants see leather art and acrylic art.
Every piece we make is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping. Get in touch if you would like a specific skyline or building commissioned.
FAQs
What subjects does the range cover?
City skylines and bridges, classical colonnades and arches, and abstracted structural forms. A fifth overlaps with landscape work where a built form sits inside a wider view.
Can you make a specific city or building?
Yes. Skyline commissions for a particular city, and reliefs of a specific building, are among the more common bespoke requests we take for offices and receptions.
How large does it need to be?
Wide. Six in ten pieces here pass 160cm, and a skyline in particular needs width to establish itself. A narrow architectural piece reads as a fragment rather than a view.
Where does architectural work suit best?
Offices, receptions and long living-room walls. It echoes the geometry already present in a modern interior, which is why it sits so comfortably in one, but it needs the wall length to do it.
What is it made from?
Mixed media, cast acrylic, worked metal and leather, with nearly a third combining polished steel against a matt ground. That contrast is what gives the cityscape pieces their light.
How is it made, and how long does it take?
Every piece is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
