Monumental Traditional Polo Player and Horse Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, 380cm, rider mid-swing with mallet raised on galloping horse, warm brown patina.
Monumental Traditional Polo Player and Horse Bronze Sculpture - 380cm $159,53200
Description

The Monumental Polo Player and Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 380cm, capturing a rider in the decisive moment of a full-swing strike: mallet arm extended overhead, horse at full gallop with hooves clear of the ground, the entire composition locked in a single explosive diagonal that reads powerfully from every angle.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This life-size bronze equestrian sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which preserves every strand of the bridle, every fold of the rider's attire, and the muscular tension of the horse's outstretched neck in precise, enduring detail. The surface carries a warm, even brown patina with subtly deepened recesses that throw the anatomy into relief without interrupting the unity of tone. As a monumental hand-finished bronze statue, each casting is worked by hand after the foundry pour, ensuring crisp edges on the tack, helmet, and mallet shaft that mechanical finishing cannot achieve at this scale. At 1,300kg, the piece commands permanence wherever it is installed.

A commission of this magnitude suits the entrance forecourt of a private estate, the arrival courtyard of a hotel or sporting club, or a landscaped parkland setting where the silhouette of horse and rider can be appreciated in the round. The warm bronze tone reads naturally against stone facades, pale gravel, clipped hedging, and open lawn alike, requiring no colour intervention from the surrounding palette.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes including classic mid-brown, verde green, and dark espresso, as well as entirely bespoke treatments to suit architectural context. The scale and figurative composition can be adapted for a specific commission; the rider's attire, mallet style, or horse breed character can all be discussed as part of a bespoke brief. Contact us before ordering to discuss your site, patina preference, or any custom requirements.
