The Monumental Mounted Soldier and Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 320cm, presenting a mounted warrior astride a powerfully rearing horse, front hooves raised and mane caught mid-motion in a commanding diagonal composition.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that preserves every articulated detail: the rider's wide-brimmed hat, the extended lance held at full reach, the individually worked saddle and bridle tack, and the flowing energy of the horse's tail and mane. The surface carries a dark near-black bronze patina with minimal green oxidation, producing an even, controlled tone that reads as both ancient and authoritative. At 1,600kg, the sculpture communicates genuine mass and permanence.
The piece arrives mounted on a broad rectangular granite base, and its scale and presence suit grand exterior settings: estate entrances, civic plazas, corporate forecourts, and monumental garden axes. The dark patina holds equally well against pale stone architecture and against verdant landscape backdrops. While best experienced at distance in an open exterior space, the sculpture can also anchor large interior volumes such as atria, galleries, or double-height halls.
Patina options include warm traditional brown, verdigris green, and satin dark bronze. The sculpture can be produced at alternative scales to suit specific installation requirements, or adapted as a fully bespoke commission inspired by the work of a particular artistic tradition in equestrian monumentalism. For any customisation, contact us before placing your order so we can confirm scope and timeline.
