Lit, it becomes the light source and changes the whole room, which is why these pieces suit bedrooms and dining rooms better than anything else we make. Nearly the entire collection is designed to work both ways rather than being blank until switched on.

The light is integrated rather than added. Illumination sits behind pierced porcelain, inside cast acrylic, along the edge of a layered panel or within a formed neon line, so the source itself is hidden and what you see is the glow through the material. Roughly a third of the range uses porcelain for exactly this reason: fired thin, it transmits light with a warmth that plastic cannot imitate.

Most of the work is contemporary and abstract, with a strong dimensional bias, and there is a distinct botanical and landscape strand alongside the geometric pieces. Placement is a wiring question as much as a design one. Check the product page for whether a piece is mains, plug-in or rechargeable before committing to a position, since that decides whether you need a socket nearby or a spur.
