About Our Bronze Garden Statues
A bronze garden statue is the most permanent statement you can make in an outdoor space. Where stone weathers and degrades, wood rots, and resin discolours under UV exposure, solid bronze develops a patina that deepens and changes with the seasons but never breaks down. Our bronze garden statue and ornament collection brings this material into formal English gardens, country estates, contemporary landscapes and grand entrances across the world, with every piece handcrafted, made to order, custom sizes available, and produced in our worldwide studios.
The collection spans the full range of outdoor placements. Statement pieces in bronze animal sculptures from lions and stags to bears and eagles. Bronze fountains as garden centrepieces, from single tier classical designs to multi tier installations. Large bronze sculptures over 150cm tall, designed for grand garden focal points. Classical pair guardians such as bronze lions flanking gates and entrances.
Every piece is cast in solid bronze with hand-applied patinas engineered for full outdoor exposure in any climate. Designed in Birmingham, England and made in our worldwide studios, shipped worldwide free of charge to your door, and backed by a lifetime guarantee on the bronze itself. A bronze garden statue is the piece you commission once and never replace.
FAQs
Will a bronze garden statue rust?
No. Bronze is a copper-tin alloy that contains no iron, so it cannot rust. What bronze does develop is a patina, a thin surface layer of copper carbonates and oxides that forms slowly through weathering. The patina is desirable, protective, and what gives weathered bronze its characteristic green or dark brown appearance. Our garden pieces are pre-patinated to give an attractive finish from day one.
Do I need to bring the statue indoors in winter?
No. Bronze is unaffected by frost, snow, freezing temperatures, or wet conditions. The patina deepens through outdoor exposure but the structural bronze itself is unchanged. Many of our garden installations have stood in English, Scottish, and North American gardens through dozens of winters without any protective measures.
What is the heaviest garden statue you can deliver?
Our standard worldwide shipping covers pieces up to around 500kg with door-to-door delivery via specialist freight. Larger pieces (life-size lions, monumental bears, multi-figure compositions) require specialist white-glove logistics which we coordinate at no additional cost on commissioned pieces. The largest single bronze piece we have shipped recently was approximately 1,200kg.
Do you supply plinths or bases for garden statues?
Many of our pieces come with integrated bronze or stone bases. For pieces that do not, or where you would like a different base than the standard option, we can specify a matching plinth (stone, bronze, or other material) as part of the commission. Just mention the requirement when ordering.
Are these statues secured against theft?
We do not include security mounting as standard. Most clients prefer to integrate the piece into their landscape design with concealed bolts into stone bases or integrated foundations. For pieces in publicly visible locations we recommend professional installation with concealed steel mounting points, which any reputable monumental mason can advise on.
