Giant Sculptures Monumental Contemporary Two Faces Bronze Sculpture with green verdigris patina, one upright closed-eyed face and a reclining face resting against it.
Monumental Contemporary Two Faces Bronze Sculpture - 180cm $57,98600
Description

The Monumental Contemporary Two Faces Bronze Sculpture stands at 180cm and presents two large abstracted human faces leaning together in a composition of quiet, arresting intimacy. One upright face holds its gaze closed and forward; a second, smaller face reclines against it, tilted and at rest, the two forms bound by proximity rather than gesture.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the traditional lost-wax process, this monumental bronze sculpture carries a heavy green verdigris patina that has developed naturally across the surface, pooling in the recessed planes and lifting to warmer bronze tones on the raised contours of the faces. The simplified, stylised features are deliberate: broad masses replace fine anatomical detail, directing attention to form, weight, and the emotional charge of two figures in close proximity. At 450kg, the piece commands its space with an authority that only cast bronze at this scale can deliver. The large abstract bronze head sculpture is mounted on a low rectangular plinth with a weathered corten-steel appearance, keeping the base understated so the composition reads without distraction.

This sculpture suits open civic or commercial spaces, large entrance halls, sculpture gardens, hotel lobbies, and curated contemporary interiors with generous ceiling heights. The verdigris patina reads well against pale stone, weathered timber, and raw concrete. It is equally at home outdoors in a landscaped setting or indoors as an anchor piece in a gallery-grade interior scheme.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Alternative patina finishes are available, including warm brown, dark rubbed, and polished highlight finishes. Scale variations can be discussed for both larger monumental commissions and smaller interior editions. Those wishing to commission a bespoke variant inspired by the work of Igor Mitoraj should contact us before ordering so we can advise on feasibility and specification.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
