The Monumental Contemporary Rotund Rider and Horse Bronze Sculpture stands 350cm tall and presents two magnificently inflated figures: a bowler-hatted man in a suit jacket seated upright atop a massively rounded horse, both rendered with exaggerated volumetric proportions that demand presence at any scale.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze sculpture achieves the dense, weighty surfaces that only hand-poured bronze can produce. Each form is finished by skilled artisans who work the metal to bring out the smooth, rolling contours that define the piece. The rich dark brown patina settles into the sculpture's deep curves and catches light across the rounded highlights, giving the work a warm, gallery-worthy depth. This is handmade cast bronze at its most expressive, built to endure outdoor environments and interior grand spaces alike.
At 350cm, this sculpture commands public plazas, corporate forecourts, hotel atriums, and large private estates. The warm bronze tones sit naturally against stone facades, architectural concrete, polished marble floors, and mature landscaping. Its placement suitability spans both indoors and outdoors, making it equally at home in a double-height gallery entrance or anchoring an open courtyard.
We offer a full range of patina finishes including verde, dark brown, and raw polished bronze. The sculpture can also be scaled up or down to suit your specific installation brief. For clients interested in a bespoke commission inspired by the work of Fernando Botero, or requiring a custom base design, contact us before ordering so we can scope the project accurately.
