Monumental Voluminous Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures in deep black-brown patina, side view on a rectangular base against a plain background.
Monumental Voluminous Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture - 350cm $105,85300
Description

The Monumental Voluminous Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, commanding space with its exaggerated rounded mass and deep black-brown patina. Every muscle group is rendered in sweeping, inflated volumes, the horse planted firmly on its base with a subtle downward tilt of the head and a raised tail that gives the stillness an unmistakable sense of restrained power.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, allowing the sculptor's original form to be translated into bronze with no loss of curvature or presence. The smooth dark bronze finish is achieved through controlled chemical patination applied by hand, building the uniform deep black-brown tone across the entire surface. The result sits between matte and satin, absorbing light rather than reflecting it, which amplifies the sculpture's monumental weight. Two to three highlight variants confirm this as a true large-scale bronze horse statue built for permanence.

At 350cm and 450kg, the piece is designed primarily for open public, civic, or estate settings: plazas, formal gardens, the forecourts of hotels and corporate headquarters, or any generous outdoor environment where its scale can be read from a distance. It transitions equally well into expansive interior spaces such as atria, double-height entrance halls, or exhibition floors. The deep patina holds its own against pale stone, raw concrete, and dark cladding alike.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

The deep black-brown patina shown is our standard finish for this piece, but we offer a range of alternatives including warm traditional brown, verde green, and raw polished bronze. Scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site, from courtyard installations to full monumental plaza placements. This sculpture was conceived in the spirit of the volumetric figurative tradition and can be further developed as a bespoke commission inspired by the work of Fernando Botero. Please contact us before ordering to discuss patina, sizing, or installation requirements.
