This acrylic sculpture is a single flat panel of clear acrylic whose upper face is worked into close ripples, like water moving over a shallow bed. The ripples run across the panel's short way in fine, uneven streaks, so the surface breaks the light into a shimmer of small highlights while staying colourless throughout. Its long edges are thick and glassy, with an irregular, broken line where the texture meets them. It is sold as one panel, and it lies flat with the rippled face upward.
The texture is the whole of the piece, so it runs across the full face without a smooth margin, and no ripple repeats the ones beside it. Seen from straight above, the panel almost disappears and the ripples read as a field of moving light; seen at a low angle, the streaks draw out and the surface looks like water caught as it runs. The edges keep their own glassy, uneven profile rather than being squared off, which shows the depth of the clear acrylic along its whole length. Anything beneath it is seen through the ripples, softened and broken up.
Set it along the top of a credenza or a long console, or on a low bench, in a hall, a reception or a gallery where people walk beside it and look down across the ripples. Raking light, from a window beside it or a lamp at one end, makes the texture shimmer, and a dark surface beneath turns the clear acrylic into a pool of light. Give it a plain ground with no busy pattern under it, so that the ripples read cleanly from end to end.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The price is for one panel, so two or more laid end to end or side by side are ordered panel by panel, and on commission the panel can be cut to another length or width for a particular surface. The ripple can be made bolder or finer, and the acrylic can be tinted smoke, blue or amber in place of clear. Two people carry it flat, one at each end with hands spread beneath it, and it is set down level in a single movement rather than slid into place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A single clear panel rippled like running water is shelved with our geometric sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
