This sculpture is a tower of books in clear resin, laid one on top of another with every book sitting slightly askew to its neighbour, so that the edges step in and out all the way up. Two stacks rise side by side for most of the height before one carries on alone to the top. Lettering runs along the spines of several of the books, the way a title runs down the back of a volume, and the page edges between the covers show as fine lines in the clear resin. At 139cm it rises to about shoulder height in a hall or a library.
The tower depends on its irregularity. The books are of different sizes, and each sits a fraction off the line of the one below, so the outline wavers as it climbs instead of rising as a clean column. The covers are kept square and crisp, the page edges between them read as fine ridges, and the lettering on the spines is set where a title would be. Because every book is clear, the whole tower can be seen at once: look into it and there are books behind books, their lettered spines showing through the covers in front of them.
A tower of this height wants open floor around it so that it can be circled: at the foot of a staircase, at the end of a corridor, in a library or a reading room, or in the reception of an office, a bookshop or a school. Daylight from one side picks out the lettered spines and makes the clear covers glint, and a dark wall behind sharpens the stepped outline. Keep other furniture back from it, because the way the books step in and out is best seen from several sides.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The tower can be made at other heights and with more or fewer books, as one stack or as two, and the books can be tinted, frosted or mixed with coloured volumes. The spines can be made plain, or lettered with titles or names of your own choosing. It travels in a fitted, padded crate, and it is best set straight into the place where it will stand on the day it arrives. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear tower of books stepping out of line as it climbs sits with our contemporary and modern sculptures; being cast in clear resin it is one of our resin sculptures, and standing on the floor of a library or a hallway it belongs among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
