The Traditional Roaring Tiger Head Bronze Bust stands 45cm tall and commands immediate attention: a severed tiger's head frozen mid-roar, mouth stretched wide to reveal prominent fangs, fur and layered mane radiating outward in dramatic relief.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this bronze tiger bust achieves a depth of surface detail that industrial casting cannot replicate. Every strand of fur across the face, every ridge of the layered mane, and the full interior of the open jaw are resolved individually by hand before and after casting. The finish is a warm reddish-brown patina, deepening in the recesses of the fur texture and catching the light along the raised mane edges. Inset eyes with a realistic amber tone add a focal intensity that reinforces the piece's confrontational character. A decorative chain element at the neck base completes the composition with a controlled sculptural flourish. At 25kg, the weight of the piece confirms the quality of the bronze throughout.
This bronze tiger head sculpture suits a wide range of interiors and exterior settings. Against dark timber panelling, exposed brick, or pale stone, the warm patina reads with equal authority. It works well placed at eye level on a plinth, console table, or low wall-top where the frontal roaring composition can be met directly. Its robust bronze construction makes it equally suited to a covered outdoor terrace, entrance portico, or garden pavilion.
Patina options include classic verdigris, dark museum brown, polished natural bronze, and satin black. Scale can be adjusted for larger statement commissions. The piece can also be produced inspired by the work of traditional Chinese zodiac sculptors, with surface detailing adapted to suit a specific architectural context. Contact us before ordering to discuss any bespoke requirements.
