The tiger in this cast resin sculpture takes its weight on the hind legs with both forepaws up on a low rock worked into the base. The head is turned out toward the viewer and held level, the mouth closed. The stripes are not painted: they are cut into the surface as shallow ridges running down the flanks and across the shoulders, so they read as texture rather than as pattern. The animal is optically clear and polished throughout.
Putting stripes on a colourless animal means they have to be legible as relief alone, and relief on a clear body is read through the material as well as on it. Cut too deep, each stripe throws a bright line right through the animal and the body fills with light it does not want; cut too shallow, the pattern disappears at two paces. The depth is therefore set once on a trial surface and held everywhere, and the spacing is set out from the spine down so the stripes converge properly at the belly. The head is the other passage. It is turned against the line of the body, so the neck carries a twist that has to look easy, and the muscles under the jaw are the only part of the animal modelled deeply.
At 66cm this wants a surface with room in front of it: a sideboard, a hearth or the top of a low bookcase. It reads along its length from the side, then turns to meet you, so give it a quarter angle to the room rather than square on. Light from one side is what fills the cut stripes with shadow; a light directly above finds the back and leaves the flanks empty. On a dark surface the whole animal comes forward as an outline.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Colour is settled at order: this clear body, an amber, a smoke, a green or a solid opaque finish, and gold or silver leaf can be suspended through the material. The stripes can be cut deeper for a stronger pattern or left off altogether for a plain animal, and the rock under the forepaws is made as here, as a plain plinth, or not at all. Any scale is cut to order. It arrives in one fitted crate lying on its side with the legs braced and nothing to assemble; lift it under the chest and the haunches together, never by a leg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear tiger with its forepaws raised belongs with our animal sculptures; stripes cut as shallow ridges lead to our figurative sculptures, and a colourless body read as relief joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
