Orange & Clear Stacked Rod Crescent Acrylic Sculpture, 200cm, with color graduating from deep orange to clear at the horn tips, on a black rectangular base against a plain white background.
Orange & Clear Stacked Rod Crescent Acrylic Sculpture on Marble - 200cm $14,80500
Description

This acrylic sculpture is a crescent built from upright acrylic rods set side by side in close columns, each column a step above the next as the curve climbs from a narrow foot to two raised horns, the right-hand one rising well above the left. Its colour is graded along the curve: deep orange through the middle, paling through amber and peach towards the horns until the topmost rods of the high horn are clear. Fine metal rods run across the columns, their round ends showing on the faces, and the foot stands at the middle of a long black marble slab.

Stepped Columns of Orange Graded to Clear

The curve is made entirely of straight lines. Every rod is upright and every column a stack of them, and it is the step from one column to the next that draws the crescent, so from a few paces away the outline reads as one smooth sweep and close to it becomes a stair of bright columns. Each rod's rounded top and polished sides catch the light as a short vertical highlight, and the metal rods crossing them add a second, horizontal rhythm. The grading follows the columns, so the orange deepens evenly towards the foot and lets go evenly towards each horn, with no column out of step with its neighbours.

Give it open floor, in a reception, a gallery, a wide living room or the far end of a long corridor, with space to view it face on and from either end. The black slab gives it a broad, level footing and a dark, glossy ground that reflects the orange at the foot. Light from above and a little in front makes every rod's edge shine, while a pale wall at its back gives the clear horn something to stand out against.

Grading, Horns and a Three-Person Move

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. On commission the grading can run in another colour, green, blue or smoke grey, or the whole crescent can be left clear, and the curve can be drawn to another length or with its two horns set level. The slab can also be cut from a white or a grey marble. Moving it takes three people, one under each horn and one at the foot, with the crescent kept upright throughout, and it is never carried by a single rod. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Orange acrylic rods stepped into a crescent on a black slab lead on to our acrylic sculptures, our geometric sculptures and our abstract sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
