About Our Small Bear Sculptures
At 30cm to 79cm a bear sits on furniture rather than on the floor, and that changes the piece completely. You see it at close range and from above, so the finish matters more than the silhouette: a graffiti drip, a chrome reflection or a sliced section is examined properly rather than read from across a room.
This is the size most people buy first, and the one that suits a console, a shelf, a hearth or a desk without rearranging anything around it. Four in five are cast resin, which holds the finer detail these dimensions depend on, with fibreglass on the rest. Around a third carry pop art treatments in bold lacquer, chrome and hand-applied graffiti.
Every design in the wider bear range is available at other scales, so the choice is genuinely about the room rather than the piece. If you want a bear that reads from across an open-plan space, see medium bear sculptures, and for floor-standing pieces large bear sculptures. The full range is in bear sculptures.
These are interior pieces. At this size they group well, and two or three at different heights on one surface reads better than a single piece centred on it. Browse the neighbouring ranges in decorative sculptures and pop art sculptures.
Every bear we make is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping. Get in touch if you would like a custom colour or finish.
FAQs
How big are the small bears?
Between 30cm and 79cm. That is the size that sits on a console, shelf, hearth or desk rather than on the floor, and it is the size most people buy first.
Are the designs the same as the larger bears?
Largely yes. Most designs in the range are available at several scales, so the decision is about the room rather than the piece. Finish detail reads more clearly at this size because you see it close up.
What are they made from?
Four in five are cast resin, which holds the finer detail these dimensions depend on, with fibreglass on the remainder. Finishes include lacquer, chrome, metallic and hand-applied graffiti.
Can they go outdoors?
No. These are interior pieces, since a sprayed finish on resin fades and chalks in permanent sun and rain.
Do they work in groups?
Well. Two or three at different heights on one surface reads better than a single piece centred on it, and mixing finishes tends to look more considered than matching them.
How are they made, and how long do they take?
Every piece is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
