This display plinth is a low, hollow box of acrylic sheet with an iridescent film on its faces, closed at the top by a level panel for a piece or a small group of objects. The upper faces read violet and purple, streaked with magenta and red, while the lower faces clear to a pale lemon and white, and the top catches the light as a soft blue-white. The sheet is see-through, so the inner corners show as fine lines behind the outer ones.
A low plinth sits among the furniture of a room, so its edges and corners matter more than its height. The panels meet square at every corner with no frame round them, and the top is a single flat panel, level and closed, so a piece stands on it without rocking. The film gives each face its own colour, and because the box is hollow and clear, the far faces add their violet to the near ones wherever two overlap in view. Under a lamp the magenta streaks brighten and the paler lower faces pick up the colour of the floor.
Standing 55cm high, it puts a piece at the eye level of someone seated and lets a standing visitor look down on it, which suits a lounge, a reading corner or the end of a sofa. It can also give a group of plinths a low first step. Put it on a hard floor in good overhead light with a pale wall behind, and keep it clear of doors and walkways, since a low, see-through box is easy to walk into.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Its proportions can be redrawn for a particular piece, longer, deeper or at another height, and the film chosen in warmer golds and reds or in cooler greens and blues, or the sheet left clear. Several can be made to one size and stood together as a bench-height display, each priced on its own. A single person moves it with a palm flat under each side, keeping the box level so the top does not twist, and sets it straight down rather than sliding it across the floor. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A low box filmed in violet, purple and magenta joins our art furniture, our acrylic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
