About Our Labubu Sculptures
Labubu belongs to a category that barely existed a decade ago: the designer art toy scaled up into sculpture. The character is small by design, collected in blind boxes at pocket size, and enlarging it to a metre or more changes what it is. At that scale the toothy grin and the ears stop being cute and start being sculptural, which is the whole point of the exercise.
Nearly the entire collection is fibreglass over an internal frame, finished in sprayed lacquer. That is the only sensible way to build these forms at size: the shapes are rounded and hollow, and a solid casting at 160cm would be immovable. Finishes run from single bold colours through chrome and metallic to multi-colour and themed treatments.
The range is dominated by two size bands: nearly half at 80cm to 130cm and nearly half above 160cm, with a small group under 30cm. There is very little in between, which reflects how the pieces are bought, either as a display object or as a statement. Browse the related contemporary ranges in pop art sculptures, character figurines and decorative sculptures.
These are interior pieces without exception, because a sprayed lacquer over fibreglass will not survive permanent weather. They suit retail, hospitality and studio spaces as much as homes, and at the largest sizes they need clear floor around them rather than a corner. See indoor sculptures and statues and fibreglass sculptures.

FAQs
What are these made from?
Fibreglass laid over an internal frame and finished in sprayed lacquer. That is the only practical construction at this scale, since the forms are rounded and hollow and a solid casting at 160cm would be immovable.
What sizes are available?
The range is concentrated in two bands: nearly half at 80cm to 130cm and nearly half above 160cm, with a small group under 30cm. There is comparatively little in between.
Can they go outdoors?
No. Sprayed lacquer over fibreglass fades and chalks in permanent sun and rain, and water will get into a chipped laminate. These are interior pieces.
Can I get a custom colour or finish?
Yes. Because the finish is sprayed rather than moulded in, we can match a specific colour or apply chrome, metallic or multi-colour treatments. Send a reference and we will confirm what is achievable.
How do I clean a lacquered finish?
A soft microfibre cloth with warm water, dried straight away. Avoid solvents and abrasives, which will dull or craze the lacquer permanently. Treat it as you would car paint.
How are they made, and how long do they take?
Every piece is handcrafted to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
