Engineering does more of the work than most people realise. A form this large standing on four slim legs needs a steel armature calculated for the load and the wind, and the fibreglass shell has to be laid up thick enough to hold its shape without becoming too heavy to place. The finish is automotive lacquer, polished to a mirror or left matt, in chrome, metallic and full colour.
