About Our Bronze Owl Statues
The owl is the universal symbol of wisdom across cultures, Greek, Roman, Native American, Asian, Northern European, and the bronze owl statue brings this symbolism into the most permanent sculptural material. Our bronze owl statue collection captures the bird across multiple poses and species, with every piece handcrafted, made to order, custom sizes available, and produced in our worldwide studios.
The collection includes perched owls (on stone, bronze branch or integrated base), owls in flight (wings spread, mid action), wings spread mounting pieces and resting compositions. Species sculpted include snowy owls, barn owls, great horned owls and eagle owls. Closely related collections include complementary bronze eagle statues in the wider bird category and the full bronze animal sculpture range.
Sizes range from desk scale figurines (20 to 40cm) to standing garden pieces (60 to 100cm). Cast in solid bronze with traditional brown, naturalistic feather detailed patinas, gilded gold or contemporary darker finishes. Designed in Birmingham, England and made in our worldwide studios, shipped worldwide free of charge, lifetime guaranteed.
FAQs
What owl species are available?
Snowy owl, barn owl, great horned owl, eagle owl, tawny owl, and burrowing owl are in the standard collection. Each is sculpted with species-specific markings, body shape, and characteristic poses. Bespoke commissions can specify other species.
Can I have an owl with wings spread?
Yes. Wings-spread mounting pieces are available with wingspans from 60cm (desk and mantel pieces) to 180cm+ (significant statement pieces). Both wings-spread-perched and wings-spread-flying configurations are available.
Small enough for a desk or large for the garden?
Both. Owl figurines start at 18 to 25cm (desk and shelf scale), through 40 to 60cm (mantelpiece and plinth display), to 70 to 100cm (large garden or gallery pieces). Most owl designs are available at multiple scales.
What patinas work for owls?
Naturalistic two-tone patinas (matching specific species markings) require skilled hand-application. Traditional brown is most common for sculptural effect rather than realism. Snowy owls suit pale grey or white patinas. Polished bronze is striking for contemporary settings.
Are bronze owls suitable for outdoor display?
Yes. Fully weatherproof. Outdoor display is common for larger pieces (typically perched on stone walls, fence posts, garden plinths). Smaller desk-scale owls are typically indoor pieces simply because of their size, not any weatherproofing limitation.
