Can I have an owl with wings spread?

Yes. Wings-spread mounting pieces are available with wingspans from 60cm (desk and mantel pieces) to 180cm+ (significant statement pieces). Both wings-spread-perched and wings-spread-flying configurations are available.

Small enough for a desk or large for the garden?

Both. Owl figurines start at 18 to 25cm (desk and shelf scale), through 40 to 60cm (mantelpiece and plinth display), to 70 to 100cm (large garden or gallery pieces). Most owl designs are available at multiple scales.
