The Monumental Classical Perseus and Medusa Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 300 centimetres, presenting the mythological hero mid-triumph: right arm raised overhead gripping the severed head of Medusa by its writhing snake-hair, curved sword resting at his left hip, body held in a measured contrapposto that conveys both violence and composure.
This piece is produced using the lost-wax casting method, which captures every surface detail with precision: the tight curls of Perseus's hair, the serpentine coils framing Medusa's face, the inscribed sash crossing the chest, and the wrapped sandal straps at the ankle. The result is a hand-finished bronze sculpture with a warm rich brown patina that deepens in shadow and catches golden highlights across the raised musculature. Each cast is unique at the finishing stage, where our craftsmen apply and burnish the patina by hand to achieve the final tonal balance.
At 300 centimetres and 500 kilograms, this is a sculpture built for monumental civic, institutional, or estate settings. Outdoors, it reads powerfully against stone courtyards, formal garden axes, or architectural facades. Indoors, it suits grand entrance halls, atriums, and gallery spaces with sufficient ceiling height. The warm bronze tones complement pale limestone, dark granite, aged brick, and neutral rendered walls in equal measure.
We offer a range of hand-applied patina finishes beyond the standard warm brown: verde antique, dark statuary black, and polished natural bronze are all available on request. The scale can also be adjusted to suit your specific site. This composition draws inspiration from the work of Benvenuto Cellini and is available as a bespoke commission in any height. Contact us before ordering if you have specific requirements.
