The Traditional Seated Faun Bronze Sculpture stands 80cm tall and captures a mythological faun in a moment of impish repose: one leg raised, both hands drawing up to stroke a braided beard, head tilted with a wide, conspiratorial grin that is impossible to look away from.
Cast using the time-honoured lost-wax method, this piece develops its character through the hand-finishing stage, where artisans apply and layer the warm brown bronze patina that defines the figure's torso and face. The goat-like lower legs and haunches carry deliberate verdigris green oxidation, deepening the sense of age and wildness that belongs to the faun archetype. Short curved horns with gilded tips and pointed, finely modelled ears complete a surface rich in considered detail. At 60 kg, the piece has genuine physical presence, the weight of sculpture that is built to endure rather than impress briefly.
This seated faun bronze statue suits a broad range of interiors and exterior settings. Indoors, it anchors a study, library, or entrance hall with dry wit and classical reference. Outside, it reads well against stone walls, garden terraces, or shaded courtyard corners where the verdigris patina continues to develop naturally over time. Dark ironwork, aged timber, and warm stone all complement the sculpture's bronze and gold palette.
Alternative patina finishes are available, including a lighter antique gold, a darker espresso brown, or an enhanced cold-green verdigris across the whole figure. Scale variations and fully bespoke commissions, including works inspired by the mythological faun and satyr tradition, are welcomed. Contact us before ordering to discuss any adjustments to finish, scale, or configuration.
