The Traditional Pigeon Flock Bronze Sculpture stands 35cm tall and presents five individually cast pigeons arranged in a naturalistic grouping, each bird frozen mid-behaviour to suggest a living, breathing flock at rest on paved ground.
Each of the five birds is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the craftspeople to capture the precise layering of individual feathers across wings, breast, and tail. Engraved feather detailing runs across every bird, giving the surface a tactile depth that photography only partially conveys. The finish carries a rich antique bronze patina with prominent green-teal verdigris over warm copper-bronze undertones, replicating the aged character of outdoor public sculpture. No two casts will weather in exactly the same way, ensuring each piece develops a unique surface over time.
The group works equally well placed directly on a stone, slate, or timber floor, just as shown, where the absence of a plinth keeps the presentation grounded and naturalistic. Indoors, the ensemble suits a hallway, orangery, or wide window ledge where the varied orientations of the five birds can be read from multiple angles. Outside, the verdigris patina integrates cleanly into garden courtyard settings, terrace paving, or planted borders. The bronze and copper tones sit comfortably against grey stone, aged brick, and dark timber backdrops.
The patina shown is our classic antique verdigris, but we can apply a darker oxidised brown, a polished warm bronze, or a fully natural bare-bronze finish to suit your interior or exterior scheme. The flock can also be commissioned at a larger scale, or with fewer birds, if your space calls for a more edited composition. If you are considering a variation, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the specification and timeline.
