Traditional Fairy Boy Child Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, seated in profile with hand to cheek and large golden veined wings, shown on a plain grey background.
Traditional Fairy Boy Child Bronze Sculpture - 150cm $24,82100
Description

The Traditional Fairy Boy Child Bronze Sculpture stands 150cm tall, presenting a seated child with knees drawn close to the chest and both hands raised to cover the face in a gesture of shy concealment. Large iridescent wings extend from the figure's back, their golden veining catching light at every angle and lending the piece an ethereal, fairy-tale presence.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves the finest surface details from the original model through to the finished bronze. The result is a hand-finished cast bronze sculpture wearing a warm golden-brown patina, with lighter highlights lifted on every raised contour of the limbs, face, and wings. The translucent wing elements are crafted separately, their delicate veined structure contrasting beautifully against the solid weight of the smooth bronze figure. At 100kg, the piece has a commanding physical presence that reads as both monumental and tender.

Suited to formal gardens, landscaped terraces, entrance halls, and gallery-style interiors, this sculpture pairs naturally with pale stone surroundings, clipped hedging, or neutral architectural backdrops. The warm bronze and gold tones work equally well against dark masonry or pale render. Rated for indoor and outdoor placement, the cast bronze body weathers gracefully in exposed conditions, while the wing detailing benefits from a sheltered or partially covered position.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina options beyond the standard warm golden-brown, including verdigris, dark brown, and blackened finishes. The scale can be adjusted to suit your space, and the wing material can be specified to preference. This design draws on a long tradition of figurative fairy-tale sculpture; if you have a specific vision inspired by the work of a particular sculptor or reference, we welcome that conversation before ordering. Contact us before placing your order to discuss any customisation.
