Traditional Chinese Dragon Head Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, 45cm tall with roaring jaws, branching horns and flowing mane on a twisted staff.
Traditional Chinese Dragon Head Bronze Sculpture (Staff Mount) - 45cm $10,85600
Description

The Traditional Chinese Dragon Head Bronze Sculpture stands 45cm tall, commanding attention with open roaring jaws, elaborate branching antler-like horns, and a flowing mane of flame-swept detail mounted atop a twisted cylindrical staff. This is East Asian mythological iconography rendered at its most expressive: bulging eyes, carved whiskers, visible fangs, and a pearl orb at the snout, every element contributing to a portrait of mythic power and ceremonial weight.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which allows the extraordinary surface complexity of this sculpture to be preserved in full. The hand-finished bronze dragon sculpture carries a warm reddish-brown patina across its raised surfaces, with deeper, darker recesses pulling the eye into the fine detail of each horn branch, each strand of the mane, and each ridge of the open jaw. The result is a finish that reads as both ancient and arresting. At 25kg, the piece has genuine material presence; this is not decorative bronze in the lightweight sense but a dense, serious casting with the heft to match its subject.

The Chinese dragon head bronze statue is equally at home indoors and outdoors. Inside, it suits dark-toned interiors: lacquered furniture, deep-coloured walls, or a dedicated display shelf where the warm bronze patina can be appreciated at close range. Outdoors, it holds its own on a terrace, beside a garden entrance, or as a focal point on stone paving. The natural bronze patina will develop a richer character with weathering over time.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina options beyond the standard warm reddish-brown, including verde antique, dark espresso, and gilded highlight finishes. The sculpture can also be produced at a larger scale for grand entrance halls or exterior settings. If you are interested in a commission inspired by the work of traditional East Asian ceremonial bronze craft, or wish to discuss a specific scale or finish, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the specification with you directly.
