The Traditional Chinese Dragon and Fish Vessel Bronze Sculpture stands 90cm tall and presents a coiled serpentine dragon locked in dynamic tension around a large oval fish-form vessel, its horned head rearing upward while scaled coils wrap the vessel's body in a single sweeping composition.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this handcrafted bronze dragon sculpture achieves exceptional surface resolution across every element: the dragon's individual scales, clawed feet, and antler-like horns are rendered with the precision that only direct bronze casting permits. The fish-form vessel carries its own vocabulary of fish-scale texturing and raised floral relief motifs across the body. The entire surface is finished in a full verdigris oxidation patina, a consistent turquoise-green colouration that replicates centuries of natural weathering and anchors the piece firmly in the tradition of classical Chinese ceremonial bronzeware. At 450kg, the sculpture carries the physical authority its subject demands.
The verdigris finish and monumental scale make this sculpture equally at home in a formal garden, a hotel atrium, a gallery corridor, or a corporate entrance hall. The cool green tones read well against pale stone, dark timber, or contemporary concrete surfaces. Indoors, the piece commands a generous floor plan; outdoors, its fully oxidised patina requires no additional weather protection.
Alternative patina options are available, including a warm natural bronze, a dark oxidised brown, or a gilded finish to specific elements such as the dragon's horns and claws. Scale variations can be commissioned for larger installations. If you are seeking a piece inspired by the work of traditional Chinese ceremonial bronze masters, or wish to discuss a site-specific adaptation, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm scope and timeline.
