Monumental Traditional Standing Elephant Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, trunk raised and ears flared, dark patina with bronze tusks, on plain background.
Monumental Traditional Standing Elephant Bronze Sculpture - 330cm $147,22300
Description

The Monumental Traditional Standing Elephant Bronze Sculpture rises to an imposing 330 centimetres, presenting a full-bodied African elephant mid-trumpeting stride, ears spread wide and trunk raised in a sweeping upward arc that commands every cubic metre of space around it.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Every surface of this large bronze elephant statue is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, a technique that captures the living detail of deeply folded skin, the weight of heavy ears caught mid-flare, and the precise curvature of the prominent ivory tusks. The finish is a deep brown-black patina with warm bronze undertones breaking through at the high points, giving the skin texture a tangible, light-reactive quality that shifts from near-black in shade to rich amber in direct sun. This is hand-finished bronze casting at monumental scale: the wrinkles and folds across the trunk, knees, and underbelly are worked individually, not reproduced by mould alone.

At 330 centimetres and 1,500 kilograms, this sculpture is engineered for permanent landmark installation. It suits open plazas, hotel forecourts, corporate headquarters, safari lodges, and large estate grounds equally. The dark patina reads well against pale stone, raw concrete, and mature planting. An integral grass-mound base at ground level ensures a naturalistic transition to any hard or landscaped surface without requiring a separate formal plinth.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a full range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark brown-black, including classic verde green, warm golden brown, and natural oxidised charcoal. The sculpture can also be commissioned at a reduced scale for courtyard or indoor atrium settings. For clients inspired by the work of traditional wildlife sculptors working in the African naturalist tradition, we welcome bespoke briefs built around specific proportions or environmental contexts. Contact us before ordering to discuss your site, finish, and specification requirements.
