Giant Sculptures Monumental Standing Bear and Strawberry Tree bronze in dark patina, bear reared on hind legs reaching into the canopy, on a plain background.
Monumental Traditional Standing Bear and Strawberry Tree Bronze Sculpture - 500cm $188,25100
Description

The Monumental Standing Bear and Strawberry Tree Bronze Sculpture rises 500cm tall, presenting a bear reared up on its hind legs, forepaws gripping the trunk of a heavily canopied tree in a single, unified composition of extraordinary civic scale.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze bear sculpture achieves a level of anatomical precision that rewards close inspection: individual fur strands are rendered across the body, the open jaw carries convincing muscular tension, and the tree's canopy resolves into a dense, rounded foliage mass of textured detail. The surface carries a deep black-brown patina with faint traces of green oxidation settling into recessed areas, lending the piece the weathered authority of long-standing public monuments. As a monumental wildlife bronze sculpture, it reads with equal conviction from a distance of fifty metres and from arm's reach.

At 500cm and 3,500kg, this is a statement work suited to public squares, civic forecourts, institutional grounds, corporate campuses, and large estate landscapes. The dark patina holds well against both pale stone paving and natural grass settings; it is equally at home flanked by formal masonry as it is set within open parkland. Its integrated tree-and-bear form means no separate plinth is required, the composition resolving cleanly at ground level.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include classic dark brown, verde green, and natural weathered finishes. The composition can be scaled to suit specific site requirements, and bespoke commissions may incorporate custom base arrangements or modified tree canopy profiles. This piece is inspired by the work of the civic sculptural tradition surrounding the famous Madrid bear-and-strawberry-tree motif, and can be tailored to site-specific briefs. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your placement requirements, finish preferences, and any structural or installation considerations.
