The Monumental Seated Gorilla Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 250cm, presenting a calm, powerfully composed great ape in a crossed-leg seated posture, arms resting on its knees, gaze directed forward with absolute stillness. At 1,500kg of solid cast bronze, this is a presence that commands any space it occupies.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every nuance of the original modelled form, from the fine surface definition of the musculature to the subtle compression of each crossed limb. The result is a large bronze gorilla statue with exceptional surface resolution. Hand-finishing follows casting, with each piece worked by skilled artisans to refine texture and apply a warm golden-brown patina that gives the bronze its characteristic depth and reflectivity. The included low-profile rectangular plinth, finished in a matching bronze tone, integrates cleanly with the sculpture rather than competing with it.
At this scale, the piece is equally suited to corporate plazas, institutional entrance halls, private estates, and large-format interior galleries. The warm patina reads well against stone, concrete, pale render, and dark architectural finishes. As a monumental bronze animal sculpture, it carries the visual authority expected of public-grade work while remaining entirely appropriate for private commissions.
Patina options include classical verdigris, dark oxidised brown, graphite black, and natural warm gold. The scale can be adjusted to suit your site requirements, from a courtyard centrepiece to a full monumental installation. For teams working on architectural or public art briefs, we offer full consultation on plinth integration and installation logistics. Contact us before ordering to discuss your specification.
