The Monumental Reclining Moose Bronze Sculpture stands 230cm tall and commands any setting with quiet, unhurried authority. A life-size moose rests in a recumbent pose, legs tucked beneath its powerful body, head raised and turned gently to the right, its broad palmate antlers rising with natural grandeur above the composition.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every nuance of the original model: the dense, layered texture of the fur across the flanks and dewlap, the sculptural weight of each antler tine, the precise anatomy of muscle and bone beneath the hide. The surface carries a deep green-black patina, applied by hand and sealed to endure decades of weathering without diminishing its character. The result is a life-size bronze moose statue that reads as a serious natural history object rather than a decorative flourish.
The moose sits on a naturalistic rocky bronze base, itself mounted on a substantial rectangular granite plinth with moulded cornice detailing. That plinth anchors the sculpture architecturally, making it well suited to formal entrance halls, grand stairwells, estate gardens, parkland settings, or large commercial lobbies. The dark bronze tones sit comfortably against stone, slate, aged timber, and pale render. Rated for both indoor and outdoor placement, the piece holds its presence equally under natural light and against a landscaped backdrop.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard green-black, including warm mid-brown, light golden, and dark espresso tones. Scale variations are available on request, as are fully bespoke commissions working from alternative reference material. Contact us before ordering to discuss any of these options and we will confirm feasibility and lead time before production begins.
