The Monumental Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands 210cm tall, capturing a powerfully muscled stallion mid-rear, front hooves lifted and bent, mane and tail caught in motion, balanced on two hind hooves above a broad, rough-hewn stone base. At this scale, the piece commands any setting it occupies.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, every surface detail of this large bronze horse sculpture is preserved with extraordinary fidelity. The musculature of the shoulders and haunches, the articulation of each hoof and fetlock, the individual strands of the flowing mane: all are rendered with the precision that only hand-finishing allows. The patina transitions from a deep, almost black tone at the lower legs and hooves through a rich warm reddish-brown across the body, giving the piece the gravitas of a work aged in a European collection. This is a monumental bronze horse statue built to endure outdoors and indoors alike.
At 210cm and 650kg, this sculpture is suited to grand architectural settings: a formal entrance hall, a sweeping staircase landing, a courtyard, an estate driveway, or a landscaped garden. The dark stone base grounds it visually while allowing the bronze form to read against almost any backdrop, from pale stone facades and manicured hedgerows to contemporary glass and steel interiors.
We offer the full range of bronze patinas, from the warm traditional brown shown here through verdigris, verde antique, black, and gold-highlighted finishes. Scale can be adjusted for residential or public installation requirements, and fully bespoke commissions are welcomed. If you wish to discuss a custom scale or finish, or if your project was inspired by the work of a particular equestrian sculptor, contact us before ordering so we can advise on the right approach.
