The Monumental Rearing Elephant Bronze Sculpture stands 360 centimetres tall, a commanding presence rendered in rich dark-patinated bronze. Front legs lifted, trunk curled fully skyward, the figure occupies space with the kind of controlled tension that only large-scale handcast bronze can sustain.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every surface detail from the original model through each stage of production. The result is solid cast bronze with a deep brown-black patina applied by hand, building a surface that reads differently across natural and artificial light. At this scale, the patina does considerable work: flattening the finish toward near-black in recessed areas while allowing warm bronze tones to emerge across the raised contours of the flanks and raised limbs. The piece sits on a flat rectangular plinth in a matching dark finish, anchoring the rearing pose without competing with the figure above.
At 360 centimetres and 1,500 kilograms, this is a sculpture for grand civic, commercial, or estate settings. It suits wide entrance forecourts, hotel arrival courts, corporate plazas, and large private grounds with equal authority. The dark patina pairs well with pale stone, polished concrete, and structured evergreen planting. The piece is fully weather-resistant and appropriate for permanent outdoor installation as well as covered interior spaces with sufficient ceiling clearance.
We offer alternative patina finishes including natural verde green, warm mid-brown, and polished golden bronze. The sculpture can be produced at a range of scales to suit your site. For fully bespoke commissions, including custom base integration or site-specific engineering requirements, contact us before ordering so we can scope the project correctly. We have also produced companion pieces and mirrored pairs for formal entrance settings.
