The Monumental Fallen Winged Figure Bronze Sculpture stands at 250cm and presents a muscular male form collapsed onto its back, two vast feathered wings spread wide, one arching skyward, one pressed to the earth, in a composition of raw, arrested power.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze sculpture is finished entirely by hand. The surface carries a deep antique patina: heavy blue-green verdigris across the broad planes of the wings and torso, with dark bronze emerging in the recessed musculature and feather detail. The result is a finish that reads as both ancient and immediate, as though the figure has lain undisturbed for centuries. Every contour of the chest, the fall of the head, the layering of each feather is resolved in the casting before the patina is built up by hand in our workshops.
At 250cm across its full span, this monumental bronze figure commands significant space. It is equally suited to a contemporary garden or estate lawn, a grand entrance hall, a museum foyer, or an architectural courtyard. The verdigris patina integrates naturally into landscaped or stone settings; indoors, it reads powerfully against polished concrete, dark timber, or pale render. The piece rests directly on the ground without a formal plinth, which reinforces the fallen narrative and gives it an immediate, almost confrontational presence.
We offer the piece in alternative patinas, aged dark bronze, polished natural bronze, or a lighter verdigris wash, and can produce the figure at a reduced or increased scale to suit a specific architectural brief. The composition is also available as a commissioned variant inspired by the work of Igor Mitoraj. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements and we will confirm lead time, finish options, and delivery logistics for a piece of this weight and scale.
