The Monumental Contemporary Abstract Horse Head Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 450cm, its angular geometric mane rising vertically against the sky while the muzzle sweeps downward in a single, deliberate arc. The simplified equine form distils the horse to its most elemental silhouette, combining raw mass with precise angular abstraction.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this piece is finished entirely by hand to achieve its striking heavily weathered verdigris patina, a dense blue-green oxidisation that blankets the upper surfaces while warm brown bronze tones remain visible in the lower relief areas. The result is an aged, deeply organic surface texture that shifts visually depending on light and weather. This is outdoor bronze casting at monumental scale, built to endure decades of exposure without structural compromise.
At 450cm and weighing 1,000kg, this sculpture is suited to large-scale exterior environments: estate grounds, corporate plazas, civic green spaces, and architectural forecourts. Its neutral verdigris colouring integrates naturally with stone paving, gravel, mature planting, and open lawn. The dark square plinth grounds the piece with clean geometric restraint, keeping focus entirely on the sculptural form above.
Alternative patina options include warm statuary brown, dark antiqued bronze, and polished natural bronze. Scale commissions at reduced or increased dimensions are available, as are site-specific installation consultations for pieces of this weight class. If you are interested in a patina variation or a bespoke size, please contact us before ordering. This design is also available for commissions inspired by the work of contemporary large-scale equine sculptors working in geometric abstraction.
