Monumental Classical Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture 400cm by Giant Sculptures in verdigris patina, Pegasus mid-stride with wings raised, shown against a plain background.
Monumental Classical Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture - 400cm $167,73700
Description

The Monumental Classical Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 400cm, commanding absolute presence with Pegasus caught mid-stride, front legs raised and thrust forward, vast feathered wings swept upward and back in full extension, mane and tail flowing in arrested motion.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished Verdigris Patina

This sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that captures every contour of the outstretched primary feathers, the muscular tension of the raised foreleg, and the fine surface texture of mane and tail. Each piece is hand-finished to produce a fully oxidised verdigris patina, giving the surface its deep, uniform green colouration. The result reads as authentically aged bronze, carrying the weight of Classical tradition in every square centimetre of its surface. At 1,500kg, this is a work of genuine architectural scale, conceived as a monumental bronze horse sculpture for permanent, landmark installation.

The verdigris finish integrates naturally into stone, marble, and rendered architectural settings. This piece is suited to rooftop parapet installations, grand entrance forecourts, estate gateways, civic plinths, and any exterior environment where scale and permanence are required. Placement is equally valid indoors, in atria, vaulted halls, or purpose-built gallery spaces with sufficient ceiling clearance. The Classical style and neutral green patina read cleanly against limestone, Portland stone, dark granite, and aged brick alike.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer full customisation on patina finish: natural brown-gold, dark antiqued bronze, black patina, or the standard verdigris shown. Scale adjustments and site-specific modifications are available as bespoke commissions. If you wish to request a commission inspired by the work of a specific artist or adapt the composition for a particular architectural context, please contact us before ordering so we can assess feasibility and provide a detailed proposal.
