The Monumental Classical Winged Angel Bronze Fountain stands at a commanding 300cm, presenting a full-striding celestial figure with wings swept dramatically upward and outward, robes caught mid-flow across the body, and one arm extended downward in a gesture of offering or protection. This is a sculpture built for permanence, presence, and awe.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, every surface of this piece carries the integrity of hand-finished cast bronze. The figure is worked in smooth bronze across the robes, wings, and face, then treated to a deep grey-green weathered patina that reads as both timeless and organic in outdoor light. This is the finish of civic monuments and grand estate gardens: consistent, dignified, and built to deepen with age. Whether positioned against a clipped yew hedge, a stone balustrade, or the open sky above a formal pool, the patina anchors the piece with classical authority.
The integrated multi-tiered fountain base allows water to cascade from beneath the figure, animating the surrounding space with sound and movement. This combination of monumental figurative sculpture and functional water feature makes it equally suited to formal garden axes, estate courtyards, public plaza commissions, and resort landscaping. The scale demands open space and a clear sightline; it repays both with something few garden ornaments can offer: genuine sculptural gravitas.
Patina options include warm golden brown, verdigris green, dark oxidised black, and natural polished bronze. The scale can be adjusted for specific site requirements. For clients seeking a personalised commission inspired by the work of a particular classical tradition, our studio team welcomes detailed briefs. Contact us before ordering to discuss site surveys, lifting requirements given the 1,500kg weight, and any custom specification. We coordinate directly with installation teams for commissions of this scale.
