Monumental Classical Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus Bronze Statue by Giant Sculptures, crowned Virgin with sceptre and child above a vanquished dragon.
Monumental Classical Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus Bronze Statue - 400cm $99,35600
Description

The Monumental Classical Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus Bronze Statue stands at an imposing 400cm, presenting the crowned Virgin in full regalia: flowing robes, sceptre raised, the infant Jesus cradled at her side, and a vanquished winged dragon prostrate beneath her feet. The iconographic programme is precise and complete, referencing Marian tradition with architectural confidence.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to Monumental Scale

This piece is cast entirely in solid lost-wax bronze, a method that preserves every carved detail from the sculptor's original model through to the finished casting. The crown, the folds of the robe, the infant's small cross, the dragon's articulated wings: each element is rendered with the clarity that only direct metal casting delivers. The surface carries a warm golden-brown patina with minimal oxidation, giving the bronze a luminous, gallery-quality presence at any viewing distance. As a monumental bronze statue, the piece reads with equal power from close inspection and from across an open courtyard or interior nave.

At 400cm, this sculpture is built for grand architectural contexts: cathedral forecourts, civic plazas, institutional gardens, hotel atriums, private estate grounds, or the entrance hall of a significant residential property. The warm bronze tones complement stone, marble, and pale render equally well. It is fully suitable for both indoor and outdoor placement; bronze at this scale weathers to a dignified natural patina outdoors, or retains its cast finish under cover.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the warm golden-brown shown: verdigris, dark museum brown, and antique green are all available on request. The sculpture can also be produced at alternative heights to suit your specific architectural setting, or adapted as a bespoke commission inspired by the work of a particular devotional or classical tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss scale, finish, and site requirements.
