Monumental Classical Triton and Mermaid Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, bearded Triton with trident and mermaid on wave bases, antique patina, white background.
Monumental Classical Triton and Mermaid Bronze Sculpture - 350cm $52,17400
Description

The Monumental Classical Triton and Mermaid Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm and presents two companion figures conceived as a single narrative: a bearded Triton raising his trident from churning wave-form bases, and a mermaid with arms outstretched, her tail arching upward in reply. Separated by space yet locked in gesture, the pair carries the weight of coastal mythology rendered in enduring cast bronze.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished with Antique Patina

Each figure is produced using the lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every carved detail from the curl of the Triton's scaled tail to the windswept strands of the mermaid's hair. The surface carries a rich antique bronze patina of deep brown tones, with green oxidation concentrated at the wave bases and lower sections, replicating the character of centuries-old coastal bronzework. Both figures are hand-finished by our sculptors and seat onto rough-cut dark granite block plinths that reinforce the monumental, tidal quality of the composition. The monumental bronze figure sculpture arrives ready for permanent placement without further treatment required.

At 350cm tall and 1,100kg per pair, these sculptures suit grand civic and institutional settings: harbourfront plazas, hotel forecourts, private coastal estates, and large formal gardens. The dark granite plinths anchor the bronzes into both hard-landscaped and natural stone environments. The antique patina reads equally well against pale limestone, dark slate, and weathered timber surrounds. Both figures are suitable for year-round outdoor installation as well as covered interior atria or reception halls of sufficient scale.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the antique brown shown, including polished warm gold, cold black, and verdigris green. The figures can be commissioned at altered heights or as individual standalone pieces rather than the full pair. Granite plinth dimensions and finish can be specified to match existing site materials. If you are considering a bespoke variant inspired by classical maritime mythology, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm the scope and timeline with you directly.
