The Monumental Classical Spartan Warrior Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, presenting a life-size hoplite in full battle dress: Corinthian helmet with tall horsehair crest, muscled cuirass, flowing cape, and a large circular aspis shield raised in one hand with a long spear extending skyward from the other.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that captures every articulated detail of the figure's armour: the layered pteryges, the relief decoration on the shield face, the anatomical precision of the exposed musculature, and the deep folds of the draping cloak. The surface carries a warm rich brown patina, with darker tones settling into recessed areas to accentuate the relief work across the cuirass, greaves, and helmet crest. The result is a hand-finished bronze sculpture of genuine gallery quality, with the weight and presence to match its 730kg frame.
At 250cm tall, this sculpture suits monumental interior settings such as entrance halls, hotel lobbies, museum galleries, and corporate atriums, as well as exterior positions in courtyards, public squares, estate gardens, and civic or institutional grounds. The warm bronze tones sit comfortably against stone, rendered masonry, dark timber, and polished concrete. The stone block plinth on which the figure stands is included, grounding the composition and providing immediate visual authority at ground level.
Patina options include classic warm brown, aged verde green, blackened antique, and polished natural bronze. Scale adjustments are available, and the piece can be produced at reduced heights for interior or residential placement. For commissions inspired by the work of classical Greek sculptural traditions or specific historical references, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss your brief in full.
