Monumental Classical Rearing Elephant Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, trunk raised skyward with a lion attacking at its base, dark antique patina.
Monumental Classical Rearing Elephant Bronze Sculpture - 320cm $143,80400
Description

The Monumental Classical Rearing Elephant Bronze Sculpture stands 320 centimetres tall, presenting a rearing elephant with its trunk curled triumphantly skyward, front legs lifted clear of the ground, and a lion attacking at its base alongside a coiled serpent. The composition is charged with dramatic tension, every element frozen in confrontation at a monumental scale that commands immediate attention.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, this piece achieves the fine skin-fold texture, the sweep of the flared ears, and the muscular definition of the rearing torso with a precision that only hand-finished cast bronze sculpture can deliver. The surface carries a deep antique patina, near-black across the broad body planes and lifting to warm bronze tones on the raised detail of the ears, face, and attacking lion figure. The naturalistic rocky base, integral to the casting, grounds the composition with geological weight and anchors the piece on its rectangular stone plinth. This is large-scale bronze animal sculpture intended to be read from a distance as well as examined up close.

At 320 centimetres, this sculpture is suited to grand civic and institutional settings: entrance courtyards, heritage estates, hotel forecourts, large private gardens, and the atria of commercial buildings. The dark antique finish reads well against pale stone architecture, contemporary glass facades, and mature landscaping. Its dual indoor and outdoor suitability means it performs equally in a glazed hall or an open plaza, requiring only a level, load-bearing base capable of accommodating its 1,500 kg mass.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a full range of patina options, from the deep near-black antique shown here to warmer statuary bronze, verdigris green, or a polished golden finish. The scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site requirements, and we can work to bespoke commission briefs for collectors or institutions seeking a unique variant. If you would like to discuss a custom finish, scale change, or a commission inspired by the work of a particular sculptor, please contact us before placing your order so we can advise on feasibility and timeline.
