The Monumental Classical Fallen Angel Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 200cm, depicting a brooding armoured figure seated low to the ground, great feathered wings spread wide and curving forward in a gesture that is equal parts power and resignation. The weight of the composition sits entirely in that single raised knee, the elbow, the hand cradling the chin: a pose that communicates centuries of contemplation without a word.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, in which every surface detail is preserved through successive layers of ceramic shell before molten bronze is poured. The result is a solid cast bronze sculpture with sharp feather definition across the full wingspan and crisp rendering of the armoured breastplate and greaves. The finish is an antique warm golden-brown patina, with lighter tones catching the raised detail of the wings and armour edges, giving the surface the depth and variation of a genuinely aged piece. At 500kg, this is structural bronze of serious consequence.
A sculpture of this scale commands space rather than filling it. It suits large entrance halls, double-height lobbies, covered courtyards, and garden settings with stone or gravel surrounds. The warm patina reads well against dark timber, raw concrete, pale limestone, and aged brick. Positioned with overhead or directional lighting, the wing surfaces produce a dramatic interplay of shadow and highlight that shifts through the day. It is equally suited to interior or exterior placement, and the bronze material weathers with character outdoors over time.
We offer the piece in alternative patina finishes including dark verde, natural brown, blackened, and polished bronze. Scale can be adjusted to suit specific spatial requirements, and we are able to work from bespoke briefs for commissions inspired by the work of existing figurative sculptors. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements and we will confirm production timelines and finishing options directly.
