Giant Sculptures Monumental Classical Armoured Warrior and Dragon Bronze Sculpture 280cm, helmeted rider on rearing horse spearing a winged dragon below.
Monumental Classical Armoured Warrior and Dragon Bronze Sculpture - 280cm $55,59300
Description

The Monumental Classical Armoured Warrior and Dragon Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 280cm, presenting a helmeted warrior on a rearing horse driving down upon a scaled, winged dragon pinned beneath the hooves. The composition is relentlessly diagonal, full of arrested motion and contained ferocity.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Every surface of this large bronze warrior sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which captures the razor-edged detail of dragon scales, the flex of horse musculature, and the tension in the warrior's outstretched form. The finish is a deep brown-black patina, smooth across the figure surfaces and richly textured across the dragon's clawed wings and armoured torso. At 600kg, the weight itself is a testament to the density and integrity of the bronze. The naturalistic rocky base is cast as a single integrated composition, not applied as an afterthought, locking the combat narrative into the terrain beneath.

This monumental bronze statue is equally at home anchoring a formal courtyard, a grand entrance hall, a heritage garden, or a civic plaza. The dark patina reads powerfully against pale stone, rendered brick, and close-clipped evergreen planting. Indoors, against high ceilings and minimal architecture, the piece commands without overwhelming. It requires a firm, level surface rated to support significant concentrated load; we recommend a structural engineer's assessment for interior installations.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark brown-black, including verde antico green, warm mid-brown, and polished lacquered bronze. The composition can be commissioned at alternative scales for spaces that demand a smaller or larger footprint. This piece can also be produced inspired by the work of classical sculptors working in the equestrian combat tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss finish, scale, or any site-specific requirements.
