The Monumental Classical Archangel Michael Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 300cm, presenting the triumphant archangel in full warrior aspect: wings fully spread, right arm raised with sword aloft, left hand gripping a second blade, and one foot planted firmly upon a prostrate, defeated figure below. The scale is absolute. The presence is undeniable.
Produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, this large bronze angel statue carries a heavy verdigris patina across every surface, the result of careful chemical ageing that replicates centuries of outdoor oxidation. The armour detailing, the articulation of each feather across the spread wings, the folds of the Roman warrior skirt and flowing drapery, all are resolved with a precision that only hand-finishing can achieve. The classical bronze archangel sculpture is set upon a tall octagonal stone column in pale cream masonry, an architectural plinth that reinforces the monumental scale and elevates the figure to its natural authority.
At 300cm and 1,100kg, this piece is designed for significant architectural settings: cathedral forecourts, formal gardens, civic and institutional grounds, hotel atriums with sufficient ceiling height, and grand private estates. The verdigris finish reads beautifully against pale stone, dark yew hedging, or rendered white walls. It is equally at home indoors in a grand hall or outdoors as a centrepiece focal point. Structural groundwork and professional installation planning are advised prior to ordering given the weight and column height.
The verdigris patina shown is our default finish for this piece, consistent with its classical character. We also offer warm natural bronze, dark brown, and black antiqued finishes. The column can be supplied in its standard stone or adapted to alternative plinth configurations for indoor installation. This sculpture can be commissioned inspired by the work of historical masters of the archangel form within the European classical tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss your site requirements, patina preference, or any bespoke commission brief.
