The Monumental Classical Archangel Michael Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 300cm, presenting the winged warrior-saint in full dominance: right arm raised aloft, a chain gripped in his left hand binding a prostrate demonic figure crushed beneath his feet, wings spread in full symmetrical span. Roman-style armour, precisely rendered feathers, and the coiled defeated form beneath combine into a composition of absolute authority.
This sculpture is produced using the lost-wax casting method, the same technique that has defined monumental bronze work for centuries. Molten bronze is poured into a precision wax mould, then hand-chased and finished by our studio craftsmen to bring out every detail: the articulation of each wing feather, the tension in the archangel's raised arm, the expression of the defeated figure below. The surface carries a dark brown-black patina, applied and sealed by hand for a uniform, weathered character that deepens with natural light and age. At 900kg, this is a piece built for permanence.
The scale and gravitas of this sculpture suit institutional and private settings alike. It reads powerfully in formal entrance courtyards, cathedral forecourts, memorial gardens, and large estate grounds. Indoors, a double-height atrium, gallery hall, or dedicated architectural niche provides the vertical clearance this piece demands. The dark bronze tones sit against pale stone, rendered white, and aged brick with equal conviction.
Patina options include natural dark brown, verdigris green, and polished warm bronze. The piece can be scaled up or down for specific architectural requirements, and the cylindrical plinth base can be specified in alternative finishes. For collectors with a specific iconographic brief, we also accept fully bespoke commissions inspired by the work of classical religious sculpture traditions. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
