Giant Sculptures' Life-Size Traditional Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture at 180cm, side view with lowered head and dark patina warming to verdigris on the lower legs.
Life-Size Traditional Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture (Verdigris Legs, Stone Base) - 180cm $112,37300
Description

The Life-Size Traditional Standing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 180cm, capturing the horse in a calm, unhurried stance: head gently lowered, tail hanging freely, weight distributed evenly across all four legs with the quiet authority of a living animal at rest.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This sculpture is produced using the lost-wax casting method, a technique that preserves every anatomical detail from initial model to finished metal. The life-size cast bronze horse carries a deep near-black patina across the body, warming to green verdigris oxidation along the lower legs and hooves; a natural chromatic progression that speaks to the age and weight of the material. The musculature is rendered with genuine anatomical precision, from the swell of the shoulder and haunch through to the fine texture of the mane and tail. Each casting is hand-finished in our workshops, with the patina applied and adjusted by hand to achieve depth and consistency across the full surface area of this substantial large bronze equestrian sculpture.

At 180cm and 500kg, this piece commands space. It suits formal entrance halls with double-height ceilings, grand foyers, estate courtyards, paddock settings, and landscaped gardens where scale and permanence are called for. The dark patina reads well against pale stone, brick, and clipped hedging. For interiors, a polished concrete or dark timber floor provides a grounding contrast to the bronze's reflective surface. The sculpture arrives with mounting pins at the hooves for secure installation onto a plinth or base of your choice.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer alternative patina finishes including mid-brown, verde green, and polished natural bronze. Scale adjustments are available, and bespoke commissions such as portrait horses rendered from reference photographs or modified poses can be quoted on request. Contact us before ordering to discuss specification, base requirements, or any customisation.
