A commanding pair of life-size horses rendered in high-gloss black patina cast bronze, standing at 160cm across individual low-profile rectangular plinths. The larger horse holds one foreleg slightly raised, its companion positioned behind and to the right, a composition that captures alert stillness and quiet dominance in equal measure. Near-mirror black surfaces articulate every contour of musculature, mane, and tendon with exceptional precision.
This piece is the foal companion designed to pair with our Life-Size Standing Mare and Foal Bronze Sculpture - 180cm, sold separately.
Each horse is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which allows the finest anatomical detail, the swell of the shoulder, the texture of the coat, the weight of the mane, to transfer directly from the sculptor's original model into metal. The deep specular black patina is applied by hand and sealed to withstand weathering without losing its mirror quality. Combined weight of the pair reaches 450kg, providing the ballast and permanence these sculptures demand.
Scaled for expansive outdoor settings: private estates, formal gardens, gated driveways, and institutional grounds. The separate bases allow flexible positioning, aligned for a processional effect or angled to create depth and movement within a landscape.
We can modify the scale of either or both horses individually, adjust patina finish, or develop a fully bespoke arrangement to suit a specific site. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
Explore related work in our bronze horse statues collection, our broader bronze animal sculptures range, or our curated edit of bronze sculptures across all subjects and scales.

Every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.
For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.
Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
