The Large Traditional Diving Eagle Bronze Fountain stands 220cm tall, depicting a bronze eagle caught at the precise moment of a full-speed dive, wings spread wide, talons extended and gripping prey below. It is one of the most commanding wildlife fountain sculptures we produce, built to anchor a formal courtyard, estate garden, or large landscaped water feature.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which captures every individual feather across the broad wingspan and body with exceptional clarity. The surface carries a warm brown-gold bronze patina, with slightly darker toning pressed into the recessed feather detail, giving each quill natural shadow and depth. The result is a finish that reads as genuinely sculptural rather than decorative. At 650kg, this is a serious architectural installation as much as it is a large bronze eagle sculpture.
The fountain mechanism is fully integrated into the casting: water jets emerge from the wing tips and body, feeding into a low circular stone basin that surrounds the base. The pale stone basin provides a clean, neutral surround that keeps attention fixed on the bird itself. This piece suits formal garden axes, reflecting pools, and open courtyard settings where the full wingspan can be appreciated from a distance. The warm patina reads well against stone paving, mature planting, and clipped hedging.
We offer a range of patina finishes including classic warm brown-gold, verdigris green, and dark oxidised black. The sculpture can also be produced at a custom scale to suit a specific pool or plinth. If you are working with a landscape architect or require a bespoke site specification, contact us before ordering and we will scope the commission with you directly.
