The Large Heraldic Eagle Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 150cm, its wings thrown fully outward and upward in a commanding display pose. Talons grip a rough-hewn column of stacked stone, beak parted, head turned with alert authority, a piece that reads equally as civic monument and private collection centrepiece.
Produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, every feather across the spread wingspan is individually articulated, from the broad primary flight feathers to the close-layered coverts along the body. The heavily weathered verdigris patina has been hand-applied across the entire surface, building the layered green oxidisation that would otherwise take decades outdoors to achieve naturally. Small secondary bronze decorative motifs at the base of the eagle add a further layer of craft detail. The result is a large bronze eagle statue with the gravitas of a museum-quality cast.
The piece suits stone-flagged entrance halls, vaulted lobbies, and formal garden terraces equally well. Its cool bronze and green verdigris tones sit naturally against Portland stone, aged brick, dark slate, and pale limestone. With no integrated plumbing or garden-specific structure, it is fully at home indoors and outdoors alike.
The patina is fully customisable: we offer warm traditional brown-bronze, satin black, polished natural bronze, or this aged verdigris finish as standard options. Scale can be adjusted for the specific setting, whether a reduced interior version or a further enlarged monumental commission. Contact us before ordering if you have specific requirements around finish, scale, or base configuration.
